Before the internet, people travelled, sang, lived and so many unusual things happened that fascinate me. Life was different before every move was tracked but I believe some stories need to be documented before they are gone forever.

I love hearing stories about the past, especially from the people who lived in them. John Whyte is a gentleman from an aging generation and his story from leaving school at an early age, to life in Paisley is fascinating. Unions, marriage and fatherhood, walking all the glend and dales in Scotland and his later job as a postman all add up to remarkable life. I was lucky to be able to chat with him while on a visit in the summer of 2024.
